Vithas Xanit International Hospital is located in Benalmádena (Málaga).

The hospital has another medical centre in the province of Málaga, located in Fuengirola, to bring its medical team to the town and continue offering its care with the same quality. With an area of 25,000 m², the Vithas Xanit International Hospital has 141 single rooms, 16 ICU stations with natural light, 7 operating theatres, 2 endoscopy rooms and a haemodynamics room, a state-of-the-art surgical unit, 4 hospital floors and 51 outpatient consulting rooms.

As a teaching and medical research centre, the hospital has a convention centre with a capacity for 250 people where national and international specialist congresses are held.

The hospital also has an International Services department that offers personalised care to foreign patients in 16 languages.

Vithas Xanit International Hospital’s A&E Department provides round-the-clock emergency care for all types of emergencies, implementing the latest recommendations and internationally agreed clinical guidelines for:

Adult emergencies (over 14 years old)
Paediatric emergencies

Our main objective is to provide a quality care service to all patients, following a multidisciplinary approach involving all the other departments in our hospital.

We are accredited by the Joint Commission International, which certifies the quality of the services we offer to our patients.

We work with the main national and international insurers.
The A&E Department has access to all medical and surgical specialities.
The paediatric emergency area is separate from the adult area.
The A&E Department is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Rapid response, 24 hours a day

Rapid response times are a determining factor for A&E and allow the department to run smoothly and establish the right priorities in each situation. The A&E team bring all their experience and specific training for this type of service.

They are on hand 24 hours a day and implement efficient action protocols to assess each case, request the appropriate diagnostic tests and make the necessary decisions, including activating the localised alert assistive mechanism, should the case require it.

How to access

The A&E department at Vithas Xanit International Hospital is accessed from a separate entrance located in a building adjacent to the hospital (right next to the main entrance) for patients’ convenience.

This allows us to ensure we provide the most efficient care.
